Lovely experience in a nice small family run hotel. lovely warm feeling in most of the hotel helped hugely by the lovely wood burning stove in the foyer area. Food good and most of all very friendly staff. Will definitely stay here again.

Great discovery on the edge of the Burren - comfortable, friendly and well located!

Have just had another lovely few days in this really well-located hotel. The staff are friendly, the food is great and the room we were in had a great view of limestone hills. This was our third year in a row having a long weekend here and we will most certainly be back.

Beautiful area of Ireland and such a cute little town. The hotel is very nicely restored and comfortable! The servers and family who work there are very friendly. The restaurant was great, we enjoyed our stay very much....just wish it was longer....next time!

My only complaint is the room was very warm. Apart from that it was a lovely stay.

We stayed at Hylands Burren for a friends’ wedding. The staff was incredibly generous and kind during our stay. Upon arrival, we were greeted with coffee, scones and an early check-in free of charge! I hope we get a chance to visit again.

The Hylands Burren Hotel is a perfect location to stay at when visitng the Burren and everyone should include this on their west coast itinerary. George at the front desk and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

A warm welcoming, cosy, cheerful hotel with great staff! Well appointed room {I had 32} superior to many "higher grade" hotels! Evening meal and breakfast - perfect! The real star is Zoe who was receptionist, bar server, waitress for dinner, takes time for a chat.... and she probably does lots of other tasks behind the scenes! We had a lovely time recently at the Hylands Burren. We received a warm welcome and would hope to stay there again. The staff were hospitable and kind, the food was good, the bedroom was quiet and the ambiance was relaxed and homely.

Denise at reception was so kind and helpful, even though we pestered her with questions every day. The restaurant was really good too. They had local craft beer on tap, which I like. The sitting areas are nice, too.

We were made welcome from the very beginning of our stay. All the staff were friendly, helpful, and so hard-working; the beds were lovely and comfy, and the food was of a high standard. It was so nice to be able to walk down to the small harbour after dinner, and there were plenty of interesting places to be reached from the hotel. Wish we'd stayed for 2 weeks!

Absolutely loved staying here. It’s quaint and cozy. We had a beautiful view of the Burren from our room. Will definitely be visiting Ballyvaughan again and will stay here a 2nd time.

I have stayed at the Hylands many times and am never disappointed. In fact, everything seems to get better and better. My room #11 was fabulous in every detail. Food yummy. Service spectacular. Ambience---priceless!

We had a wonderful return stay at Hylands Burren where it is now a family run hotel again with all the standards and looking after their guests like in the nineties and early 2000. Great bar food and lovely breakfast. Will be back.

31 of us stayed for a family party. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Hylands. The staff were very friendly, great breakfast's and everyone from age 1 to 89 had a great weekend

Great place to stay. Staff so friendly and helpful. We stayed 2 nights and had dinner both nights which was top class. Breakfast was also perfect. Car park is handy, right beside the hotel. Location - the hotel is situated in the centre of Ballyvaughan which is ideal as a base for spending time in this area. Head for O'Loughlins Bar when in town for a night-cap, one of those hidden gems. I'll be back!

An hotel in the centre of the village so walking distance everywhere. Great rooms and great breakfast. This was our third time staying here and we'll be back for our fourth. Walking in the Burren is always great.

We arrived into Shannon Airport at 5:30 AM Easter Sunday, tired, jet lagged and a bit chilled in the damp cool morning. We were greeted at Hylands Burren Hotel with a warm welcome and a delicious "full" Irish breakfast. Knowing how tired we were, David had a room ready for us quite quickly, well before check-in time which we truly appreciated. Our room was clean, sheets crisp and mattresses firm, perfect. We enjoyed our stay in the picturesque village and the hospitality of the Hylands.

Great few days. Hope to be back again.

We have been staying at the Hyland Hotel every couple of years since 1992. By far, this past visit was the best. The redecorated rooms were highly comfortable and very clean. The meals in the pub and breakfast room were delicious! We'll be back. Susan O'Connor Lewis

We loved The Hylands Burren Hotel. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. The property is quite lovely and charming. The staff was gracious and the food delicious.

We loved our stay at Hylands Burren - George was so lovely and went out of his way to make our stay wonderful - we were engaged earlier in the day and told him upon our arrival. he and his wife opened up the kitchen, served us complimentary champagne and congratulated us multiple times. The hotel great, clean and comfortable. The staff was all friendly and more than happy to help with any of our requests. We'll definitely be back!

Stayed here in October for a walking trip in the Burren. Lovely, cosy hotel which provided everything we needed. Very comfortable, good food, spotlessly clean and friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a very pleasant stay. Helpful staff who stored our luggage for 2 days (while we hiked the Burren Way), comfortable, spacious room, easy booking and a cute little town. My husband loved that there was a peat fire burning in the lobby.

The Hylands Burren Hotel offered us a warm Irish welcome with its cozy lounges (peat fire in the fireplace, comfy chairs, lovely atmosphere), and boutique style furnishings and linens in the bedrooms. An excellent full breakfast was served in the dining room. Ballyvaughan is a convenient location for excursions to the Cliffs of Moher and walks on the Burren. In addition, excellent dining can be found at nearby restaurants.

Good value for money

This is exactly the place you need to stay when you first arrive in Ireland. The staff welcomes you as if you were family. Huge happy smiles greet you and those smiles are genuine. Two members of the staff really stand out. They are Gavin and Neve (don't know if I spelled her name right, sorry). The experience at this hotel and it's close proximity to the nearby attractions will be forever in our minds as the greatest Ireland experience. THANK YOU ALL!

We had a fabulous time during our stay and would not hesitate in booking this hotel in the future.

Lovely! The room was everything we needed. We enjoyed whiling away some time in the pub on the afternoon of our arrival and our dinner there. Breakfast was a treat as well. And the catchy Poulnabrone Dolmen art displayed behind the bar inspired our visit to the historic site the morning we checked out.

Myself and my family stayed at Hylands for a 40th Birthday, and it was absolutely fantastic. All the staff were amazing. They went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible, especially Kieran on Reception who was like our personal assistant. He gave us loads of information on things to do in the area and organised different trips. Breakfast was lovely with a great variety. Rooms on top floor were big and very comfortable. Would highly recommend this hotel.

We were treated with the utmost courtesy and consideration particularly with regard to the sudden and untimely death of our motor hill-climbing friend at the beginning of our stay. I have only the highest praise for the hotel and its staff.

This is my husbands favourite hotel. It was our first visit with new owners. Bar food was lovely, staff very friendly, our room was very comfortable, bed really comfortable. We're hoping for another visit in the autumn reception area small & functional. Nothing fancy but guy who checked us in was friendly & helpful.

We had a family stay in Hylands and found it to be very comfortable and enjoyable. Ballyvaughan is a lovely area and Hylands is the ideal location for a walking and sightseeing base. the rooms we were in appeared to be newly painted and mine was very qquiet and restful.

We had a delightful stay at the Hylands Burren Hotel. It has recently been renovated and the rooms, though small, were excellently appointed, with bath and not just shower. The staff were helpful and friendly and there was a lovely relaxed family feel to the hotel. The bar food was good, though the service was slow the night we ate there. It is a wonderful location for discovering the Burrren - we'll definitely be back!

We enjoyed a lovely stay at the Hylands Burren Hotel. We had booked the family suite prior to our arrival, but it was not available. We were given two room at no additional charge. The food was delicious and the breakfast (especially the croissants & fresh smoked salmon). in the morning were scrumptious!!! The hotel staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating!
